The Lake District is magical playground for us as well as our children, with its spellbinding landscape, mystical woodlands, incredible mountains, and shimmering waters. There are so many magical places in the Lake District to capture the imagination of little ones and give them a great day out.
Beatrix Potter House Hill Top
Enjoy visiting Beatrix Potter's 17th-century farmhouse, gardens and shop. Look at the places Jemima Puddleduck and Tom Kitten and his sisters played.
Wray Castle
Sitting on the shores of Lake Windermere you will find the gothic Wray Castle and its grounds. Including cafe, shop and adventure play grounds.
Aira Force Waterfall
A spectacular waterfall dropping 65 feet down a ravine into a rocky pool and is set in beautiful ancient woodland and a network of trails weaving its way from Ullswater and beyond.
Rydal Caves
Located on the slopes of Loughrigg Fell, Hop over the rocks over the water inside of the cave, but don't fall in!
Brant Fell
Stand on top of the world and take in the views. Just a short walk from Bowness-on-Windermere.
Steam Yacht Gondola
Enjoy the steam-powered yacht on Coniston Water. Watch the steam engine in operation from the open viewing windows and quiz the boat’s engineer on its workings.

Sticklebarn and the Langdales
Hearty food, real ale and roaring fires, this is the perfect place to eat, drink and relax after a day on the fells. Dogs are welcome, but due to livestock grazing please keep them on leads.
Stockley Bridge
An old packhorse bridge located at the head of Borrowdale where the path forks to head up to either Styhead Pass or Allen Crags Gill.
Devoke Water
A small lake in the west region, it lies on Birker Fell, 1 km to the west of the road between Ulpha & Eskdale. It is the largest tarn in the Lake District.
