Windermere Lake Cruises

Dogs travel for free on all Windermere Lake Cruises' scheduled cruises and they even get their own ticket. All they ask is that they are well-behaved and kept on a lead at all times.

Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway

Since 1869 passengers arriving at Lakeside station have been able to board a ‘Steamer’ and cruise its length up to Bowness and Waterhead pier (near Ambleside).

Summer Evening Buffet Cruise

Summer Evening Buffet Cruise, but this cruise is 2½ hours in length. The live music can be loud and the volume may be distressing to some animals.

Self-Drive Boats & Rowing Boats

Dogs are welcome on all self-drive motor boats and rowing boats hired from Bowness and Ambleside but they must be kept on a lead at all times.

Lakeland Motor Museum and feast your eyes on a unique collection of 30,000 exhibits. That includes 140 classic cars and motorbikes, all carefully assembled over 50 years.
